Director of AI?

Director of AI?

Everyday I learn of new AI products, old products with new AI-integrated features, and of new, useful GPTs to boost marketing productivity and enhance the content quality.

AI tools, prompts, and GPT libraries need to be managed. As the pervasiveness of AI touches every software system used by a Marketing department, it seems obvious that there needs to be someone in the organization that has mastered generative AI concepts and tools. This person controls the inputs and monitors the outputs.

Generative AI hallucinations? Those need to be monitored and minimized. Building an entire marketing department of AI Agents? Get ready. It's happening. Somebody needs to manage those too. The output is only as good as the inputs, regardless of how well an AI Agent can mimic the style of a real person (substance over style).

Why haven’t I seen job postings for Director of AI yet?

(Oh … that’s because this role has already been filled by an agentive AI bot, and HR wasn’t involved.)
